If you are a large group then we suggest visiting the larger restaurants if you wish to do the trail together. For really large groups of 8 or more we suggest you split up for the smaller restaurants.
Some restaurants can accept 2-4 people at a time. If you can‘t be seated straightaway please try another restaurant then pop back.
Supernature, for example with plenty of room and undercover tables in the yard. Plus a DJ all day. Colombo 16 have a whole bar area to cater for larger groups. And, The Royal do not have a maximum group size.
We cannot guarantee that you will get to eat at every restaurant as it is a first come first served basis. But all restaurants are in close proximity so if one is full simply pop to another.

There are no tickets or entry fees required anywhere and you are free to stop at one or more restaurants. Maybe you’ll manage to vist all venues listed on the map.
However, please be patient. If somewhere is busy and you can‘t be seated, please try another restaurant then pop back.

Every restaurant shall be offering at least one vegetarian and vegan dish. This will ensure there’s lots of variety on offer. We aim to cater to as many people as possible so that everyone can enjoy delicious food during the event. We recommend that visitors contact each restaurant in advance if they have specific dietry requirements or chat to any of the restaurants when they arrive about the ingredients in their dishes. Every restaurant will be happy to help with any questions.

For practical reasons. Restaurants need to be in close proximity to each other for the trail, and also because this is an experimental campaign with a nominal budget for photgraphy, filming etc, sadly we can’t cater for the entire area due to logistical reasons. But we hope to expand it to the wider Hastings area and the Old Town in the future. This could act as a blueprint for how to include restaurants across the whole of Hastings in future food campaigns and festivals.

The restaurants selected this year all offer a small plates menu relative in concept, opening times, quality and price to the other restaurants.
You can be part of the campaign this year by being listed on the campaign website under ‘You might also like...’ Please get in touch if you would like to be featured on the website.
